Nina Netzler von Reiche was born in Apia, Samoa. She is of Samoan-European descent. Her interest in writing developed from a young age, experessing her feelings about her enviornment in poetry and short stories. She has also written articles for the local papers and magazines such as Tapu. Nina holds a BA in English Literature from James Cook University, Australia and a Masters in International Community Development from Deacon University, Australia.
